Meet Gina

Hello & Welcome!

Who is that person behind the camera at Gina Mabbitt Photography?

I am a mother of 3 awesome kids and a wife to my high school sweetheart.

Before pursuing my dreams of photography, I spent many years operating a Day Home. I had up to 6 children in my care at a time, so I have tons of experience with kids and all their stages, moods & needs!

My life experiences have prepared me for my dream job.. I know how it feels to be a brand new parent. I understand husbands that want the session to end before it even starts. I know what it’s like to have a strong-willed 2-year-old or a teen that would love to be anywhere else! I am proud to say I have been called the baby whisperer for my abilities to calm a fussing baby. ( My favorite sessions!)  I completely understand insecurities and I like to make people feel as happy and comfortable as possible.

My love of photography started at an early age, I was always snapping photos as a teen and after High School my dad helped me acquire my own photo lab. (aging myself here! haha) I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it but then the digital age took over and so did my growing family. That love of photography evolved into a passion once I had children and saw first hand just how quickly they grow and change and time flies by. Oh what I would give to go back in time and get photos done with my children like the ones I provide to my clients! My biggest regret right there!

Deeper? Well let’s see, I love the color red! It just makes me happy. I have painted some red in 3/4 of our houses. (Soon to be 4/4? We shall see!) I love doing anything crafty and creative, time with my family, board games, reading, camping & traveling. I enjoy swimming in the lake, but I will not put my foot down if I suspect a weed is down there! I made a complete fool of myself choking on saltwater while snorkeling in Jamaica because a fish touched my leg! haha! You will quickly see I am as real as it gets, super easy going and friendly.
I am sooooo lucky when I get to bring along my assistant extraordinaire, my 14-year-old son Corey ( my youngest baby)  – children love him and his silly ways! ( Pictured on the right with me)

I love my job – I get to play with wonderful kids, snuggle sweet babies, capture couples in love, meet awesome families and make new friends. It doesn’t get any better than that!

Drop me a line and let me know you stopped by, I look forward to meeting you!
